China relaxes censorship in cinema
The Chinese authorities will abandon several key requirements for moviemakers, which can be regarded as a significant weakening of state censorship. This is reported by the Xinhua edition. From now on, in most cases, moviemakers will have to provide the State Administration of Cinematography, Radio and Television with not complete scripts of their projects, but only a summary. Recall that China has strict quotas on the number of foreign movies released annually.
