China box office increased 50 percent
Cumulative box office gross for movies released in China in 2015 increased 49 percent from 2014. This is reported by the Variety edition with reference to the state administration that regulates the activities of the media, movie industry and television. In absolute terms, the Chinese ox-office reached 44 billion yuan, or $ 6.7 billion. The highest grossing movie of the year in China was the action adventure Fast and Furious 7, which grossed $ 390 million.
