Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard will star in an as-yet untitled war drama directed by Robert Zemeckis. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The action of the picture will take place during the Second World War, and the plot is built around two agents who arrive in occupied Casablanca to eliminate the German ambassador. A romantic relationship develops between the characters, which, after their return to their homeland, leads to a wedding. And then Pitt's character receives information that his wife is a double agent working for German intelligence.

Stephen Knight will prepare the script for the project. Filming is expected to begin in early 2016 and will take place in Casablanca, London and Canada. The movie's rental schedule has yet to be announced.

Recall that Zemeckis' last work at the time of this writing was the drama "The Crew", released in 2012. In 2015, viewers will be able to see a new movie by the director called "Walk".

For Brad Pitt, this will not be the first project dedicated to the events of World War II. In 2009, the movie "Inglourious Basterds" was released with the participation of the actor, and in 2014 the premiere of the drama "Fury", in which Pitt played the commander of a tank crew, took place.
