In an explanatory commentary, he said that he organized this action just for a joke. "I actually created this petition to gather DC fans and express our outrage, just as a joke. I never imagined it would be taken so seriously. After some thought, I came to the conclusion that the action was pointless. And the only one its result was an outbreak of hatred on the Web, exacerbation of the confrontation between its supporters and opponents. Films are designed to entertain. And hatred and confrontation is something exactly the opposite of entertainment, "the author says. At the end of the action, more than 17,000 signatures were left under the petition.
