DC Fans Demand Shut Down Rotten Tomatoes

Fans of the DC MCU organized a collection of signatures for a petition demanding the closure of the largest aggregator of professional reviews Rotten Tomatoes. The corresponding appeal appeared on the Change.org website.

"We need to keep this site down because critics always give unfair marks to DC comics projects and write negative reviews, such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad." And this, according to the authors of the petition, influences the opinion of the audience, despite the fact that the movie projects themselves are wonderful.

As of this writing, about six and a half thousand people have signed the appeal.

Note that movies based on popular DC comics do receive extremely low ratings from professional critics. For example, the aforementioned "Batman v Superman" received only 27 percent of positive reviews, and "Suicide Squad" even before its release in the wide distribution - 34 percent.

Critical grievances and poor box office performance have already led to a major reshuffle at Warner Bros.

As a reminder, Rotten Tomatoes is owned by Fandango, the largest electronic ticket seller in cinema.
