Scottish writer J.K. Rowling congratulated all fans of her work on the 20th anniversary of "Harry Potter". The corresponding post was published on her official Twitter page. "20 years ago, on this very day, the world in which I had been alone before, suddenly turned out to be open to everyone. It was wonderful. Thank you," Rowling wrote.

Note that the speech is the first edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which was published in the UK on June 26, 1997. The work quickly gained immense popularity around the world, and Rowling wrote several sequels. In 2001, the Warner Bros. movie studio, which acquired the rights to the movie adaptation, presented the feature movie of the same name to the audience. The main roles were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. The picture earned nearly a billion dollars at the worldwide box office.

After the completion of the main storyline, J.K. Rowling came up with a sequel in the form of a play, and also took part in the creation of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series. The latest project does not have a literary source, it is based on a textbook that was used at the school of wizardry for Hogwarts.
