Rupert Grint to star in NBC Telecomic
NBC has commissioned the production of a drama pilot starring Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. According to Deadline, the idea belongs to producer Aaron Kaplan ("Secrets and Lies"), and the scriptwriter Silvio Horta ("Ugly") embodied it in a letter. The as-yet-untitled drama was developed specifically for Grint, a big fan comics. The British actor will play Rupert, a petty New York office slacker obsessed with the "Imperial City" comic book series, which his father created before his death. Rupert was convinced all his life that he owned all nine issues of the series. But when a mysterious comic book collector tells him about the existence of the tenth issue, Rupert discovers that the world of "Imperial City" is real. and that he is the only person who can save him.
