Iron Fist Premiere Date Announced
Streaming service Netflix has announced the premiere date for its fourth signature telecomic, Iron Fist, and released the first footage of the show. The series, starring Finn Jones (Game of Thrones), kicks off March 17, 2017 across all Netflix broadcast territories. The first season consists of thirteen episodes. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The main character of the series, billionaire Danny Rand (Jones), returns to New York City after a long absence and tries to start all over again and take up the legacy of his family. He fights the criminals who have turned his city into a hotbed of corruption, using kung fu and the ability to accumulate the power of the Iron Fist in his hands. "Iron Fist" closes the top four of the Marvel / Netflix co-produced fiction adventure series, following the already-released shows Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. After the release of "Iron Fist" all the main characters of the series – Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Coulter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) team up for the Defenders miniseries.
