The famous Soviet and USA director Eldar Ryazanov died in Moscow at the age of 88. According to the director's family, he died after a long illness, and the cause was acute heart failure.

Eldar Alexandrovich Ryazanov was born in Samara in 1927 in the family of an employee of the Soviet trade mission in Tehran, Alexander Ryazanov. After leaving school, he was going to enter the nautical school, but he did not receive an answer from his leadership and went to Moscow, where he entered VGIK, from which he graduated in 1950. All-Union glory came to the director very early: already in 1956 he directed the musical movie Carnival Night at the Mosmovie studio, which became a classic of its genre.

From that moment on, Eldar Ryazanov became a recognized master of the comedy genre and melodrama. Among his works are such famous paintings as "The Hussar Ballad", "Beware of the Car", "Old Men-Robbers", "Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!", "A Station for Two", "Forgotten Melody for a Flute" and many others ... In many movie projects Ryazanov was not only a director, but also a screenwriter, as well as the author of lyrics and romances performed by the main characters.

In addition to working in cinema, Eldar Ryazanov for many years was the host of television programs "Kinopanorama", "Visiting Eldar Ryazanov" and others. He was awarded many state awards and prizes.
