Eldar Ryazanov died
An outstanding Soviet and USA director Eldar Ryazanov passed away today at the age of 89.Eldar Alexandrovich was born on November 18, 1927 in Samara. As a child, Ryazanov dreamed of becoming a writer and traveler, but fate prepared another path for him. Having received no answer from the Odessa Naval School, the young man decided to follow his friend to enter VGIK . In 1950, Eldar received an honors degree with the documentary film " They Study in Moscow ". After graduating from VGIK and Ryazanov he began filming scenes for newsreels, and five years later he received an invitation to become a full-time director of the Mosfilm film studio. In 1955, together with Sergei Gurov, he shot the film "Spring Voices", after which he went on a solo voyage. His first solo project, "Carnival Night", made Igor Ilyinsky, Yuri Belov and Lyudmila Gurchenko popular favorites. During the rental period, the comedy was watched by almost 50 million people.  Soon Ryazanov secured the title of one of the most talented directors of his generation. By the mid-70s on his account were such popular films as "A Girl Without an Address", "A Man From Nowhere", "Hussar Ballad", "Give a Complaint Book", "Beware of the Car", "Zigzag of Fortune", "Old Robbers "And" The Incredible Adventures of Italians in USA.  In 1975, Ryazanov made another film, without which it is impossible to imagine the New Year holidays today - "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!" The premiere of the tragicomedy took place on January 1, 1976 and attracted 100 million viewers from the screens. People loved the heroes of the film so much that Central Television was forced to show a replay of " Irony of Fate " already in February of the same year.  In subsequent years, Ryazanov wrote scripts and directed films "Office Romance", "Garage", "Say a Word about Poor Hussar", "Station for Two", "Forgotten Melody for Flute", "Cruel Romance" ...  Eldar Alexandrovich made a significant contribution to the development of culture and art. He has worked as a host of the " Kinopanorama " program, has created several television programs and taught at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors .
