Streaming service Netflix has commissioned a mystical drama set to be set on Long Island. According to The Hollywood Reporter, citing the video service, the series is positioned as a "love letter to the classics of the 80s."

Brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, specializing in short movies ("The Ship", "The Road to Moloch ") and whose 2014 horror thriller" Hidden "made their feature movie debut, will write and direct the eight-episode series Montauk.
