Since the end of Netflix's summer-hitting mystical streaming service Stranger Things, the fate of the drama's protagonist is – Eleven – remained unknown. According to TV Line, citing its sources, Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven or Odie will return for the show's second season. Moreover, the role of the actress will be regular.

Brown will join new actors with regular participation – Sadie Sink ("Unyielding Kimmy Schmidt") and Dacre Montgomery ("Power Rangers"). Recall that Sink will play a tomboy named Max, and Montgomery – her older self-confident heartthrob brother Billy, who hides his wild temper.

Actors Joe Keery and Noah Schnapp, who played Steve Harrington and Will Byers in Season 1 have upgraded from Recurring to Regular.

Season 2, set in 1984, will consist of nine episodes and will debut in 2017. Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer are the creators, writers, executive producers, directors and showrunners of the series. The second season of the show will be produced by 21 Laps. Dan Cohen and Sean Levy share the responsibilities of executive producers. The latter also works as a director.
