Paramount's Zombie Nazi Movie Finds a Director
Paramount has appointed a director for a new project, Overlord, which will be curated by JJ Abrams as producer. According to Variety, he will be the creator of the drama "Young Blood" Julius Avery. The action of the picture will take place during the Second World War, and in the center of the plot are two servicemen who find themselves deep behind Nazi lines after the plane on which they flew to destroy a German radio station in Normandy suffers a disaster. After reaching the goal of their mission, the heroes are horrified to discover that they will not have to fight with the Nazis, but with supernatural beings created as a result of the secret experiments of the Third Reich. Note that the studio acquired the rights to this project back in 2007, but only now it was put into production. Filming will be directed by Abrams' studio Bad Robot. At the time of this writing, the movie's rental schedule has not been specified. Sources of the Variety edition claim that the production team has already begun negotiations with potential performers of key roles in the movie. It is not known which actors are involved.
