In Moscow, at the age of 75, the famous Soviet and USA animator Eduard Nazarov died. According to his family, he died after a long illness.

Eduard Nazarov was born in Moscow in 1941. Graduated from the Stroganov Art School. He has worked in animation since 1959, starting his career as a graphic artist. Later he was an assistant to the production designer, and then the production designer for the famous USA animator Fyodor Khitruk.

He was the creator of many short cartoons, including those included in the collections "Merry Carousel" - "Hippo", "Princess and the Eater" and others. The most famous work of Nazarov was the cartoon "Once upon a time there was a dog", which immediately after the premiere became a part of Soviet folklore.

As an artist, he participated in the creation of such masterpieces of USA animation as "Boniface's Vacation", "Film, Film, Film" and others. He voiced the characters of the animated movies "The Adventures of Captain Vrungel", "How Cossacks helped the Musketeers".

Eduard Nazarov was awarded the title of People's Artist of USA.
