Jay Garrick Selected for Season 2 of The Flash
Teddy Sears ("The Masters of Sex") joins the cast of The CW's second season, "The Flash," as Jay Garrick, who has dominated human speed in print comics. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In the series, Sears' character arrives in Central City to warn Barry (Grant Gustin) and his STAR friends of an impending threat that he can help stop. Garrick's appearance was hinted at in the season 1 finale, when his helmet flew through a wormhole into the STAR lab. Chantelle Van Santen ("The Messengers") will also appear as Patty Spivot in the second season. Patti – a police detective and an ardent science fanatic that Flash will eventually fall in love with. Patty herself is obsessed with metahuman and is Joe's new partner (Jesse L. Martin). Executive Producer Greg Berlanti, during a panel at Comic-Con 2015, revealed that the second season, which will unfold a few months later after the events of the finale, there will be many new faces. In turn, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg announced that Professor Zoom will be the next villain. He is faster than Flash and will be very difficult to catch. And one more speedster from the comic – Wally West – will join the show. Season 2 of The Flash will premiere on October 6, 2015 on The CW.
