Steven Soderbergh decided to break his promise - not to make more full-length movies designed for wide distribution. According to Variety, he has agreed to direct the movie, "Lucky Logan," starring Michael Shannon and Channing Tatum.

The plot of the movie is still kept secret. It is also unknown which of the major Hollywood studios will agree to financially support its production.

Recall that Soderberg announced his intention to leave the big cinema and focus on television projects, as well as to prove himself in other forms of art, back in 2009. Two years later, he reiterated his promises. "If I don't succeed, or I run out of money, I will be the first to inform about it and come back to shoot the next Ocean Friends," the director said then in an interview.

At the time of this writing, Soderbergh's latest feature movie, Side Effect, was released in 2013. Later, the director was engaged in television series, for example, Knickerbocker Hospital. The Directors Guild of America nominated him in 2016 for their award. Whether Soderbergh will be able to defeat the competition will become known on February 6, 2016.
