David Prowse, who plays Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, said goodbye to his overseas fans. The corresponding announcement was published on the actor's official page on the social network Twitter.

"It is with great sadness that I have to announce that I will no longer be able to participate in overseas fan events. Over the years, I have met so many wonderful fans around the world. I sincerely thank each of them for their support and the opportunity to meet all of you. . May the Force be with you ", - says the announcement.

Prowse did not specify the reasons for his decision, but, most likely, the health of the 81-year-old British actor no longer allows him to travel long distances. Recall that in the first three episodes of Star Wars, David Prowse appeared in the frame as Darth Vader, but the character spoke in the voice of actor James Earl Jones.

The Sith Leader will reappear on the big screens in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Under the guise of Vader, actor Spencer Wilding will be hiding, who played an earlier episodic role in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy.

The first Star Wars spin-off will premiere in December 2016.
