Actress Rimma Markova passed away
The famous Soviet and USA actress Rimma Markova died in Moscow at the age of 89. The artist has been undergoing treatment at the Botkin Hospital since October 2014. The cause of death is not specified. Rimma Vasilievna was born into an acting family and from a young age participated in the performances of the theater in which her father served. She graduated from the studio at the Vologda Drama Theater, worked at the Lenin Komsomol Theater and the Film Actor Studio Theater. She made her movie debut in 1957 in the movie "Near Us". She played in such famous movies as "The Living and the Dead", "Relatives", "Vacation at Own Account", "Pokrovskie Vorota", "Night Watch" and many others. Laureate of numerous prizes, awarded the title "People's Artist of USA", holder of the Order of Honor. In 2010, she was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree.
