Brad Pitt's Plan B studio has acquired the movie rights to Stephen King's The Long Jont. This is reported by the publication Deadline. The movie will be staged by Andres Muschetti, the creator of the horror movie Mama.

The short story "Long Jont" was published in 1981. It takes place in the future, when teleportation, or "jont", became as commonplace as flying an airplane in the 20th century. The only prerequisite for a successful "jont" is the immersion of the teleported into sleep, since "jont" in the waking state leads to madness. The main character named Mark must go with his family to Mars. Upon arrival, he is horrified to discover that his son has tricked the teleportation service into pretending to be asleep. Terms of work on the project and a possible rental schedule have not yet been specified.

Recall that the movie "Mom" became a kind of sensation in January 2013. The tape has a production budget of just $ 15 million and has a worldwide box-office gain of over $ 146 million.

There are several more projects in the plans of Muschetti. In particular, in mid-2014 it was announced that he intended to movie the popular video game "Shadow of the Colossus".
