Paramount Pictures has canceled the 13 November 2015 premiere of Calls, a sequel to the hit horror series. It is reported by the Variety edition. The reason for this decision has not been specified, nor is the new rental schedule.

The movie, directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, stars Amy Teegarden, Johnny Galecki, Zach Roerig, Andrea Powell, Adam Fristo, Jill Jane Clements, Chris Green, Andrea Lane, Ricky Muse, Matilda Anna Ingrid Luts and other actors .

The plot was supposed to be built around a young man named Holt, who suddenly moves away from his girlfriend, after watching a videotape familiar to all fans of this franchise. Earlier it was alleged that the movie will feature one of the main characters of the movie "The Ring" and its sequel, Aiden Keller, the son of the main character, played by Naomi Watts.

Recall that the Hollywood version of The Ring, based on the popular Japanese horror movie, was released in 2002. It was directed by the creator of "Pirates of the Caribbean" Gor Verbinski. The production budget of the project was only forty-eight million dollars, and it earned $ 249 million at the worldwide box office, becoming a real sensation for its time.
