Filming of the continuation of the fantastic movie "Avatar" will start in the first months of 2017. According to Blastr, such an announcement was made at the Wizard World Comic Con Chicago festival by the performer of the role of Colonel Quarich Stephen Lang.

"Immediately after the New Year, we start movieing the sequels to Avatar. I believe that the production and release of the next series will stretch until 2023," he said. The actor did not specify how his hero, who died in the finale of the first part, will be able to resurrect.

Note that earlier James Cameron himself said in an interview that the character "is evolving into something completely unexpected and will play an important role in the sequels."

Stephen Lang, when asked by one fan about the difficulty of working with James Cameron, who is considered by many to be a dictator on the set, replied: "Michael Mann is a greater dictator than Jim. Cameron is a real Leonardo today."

Recall that the next three episodes of "Avatar" will be movieed simultaneously. The technical details of the project have not yet been disclosed, but, as in the case of the first movie, Cameron is expected to use the most advanced shooting technologies. The premiere of the picture "Avatar 2" will take place in December 2018.
