One of the leading developers at Blizzard Entertainment, Chris Metzen, has announced that he is leaving his post and retiring. According to Gamespot, this announcement was posted on the official Blizzard forums. According to Metzen himself, he "is not leaving for another studio, but will no longer be involved in the gaming industry."

Chris Metzen worked for the company for 21 years, and during this time he participated in the creation of the most famous game series of Blizzard Entertainment .

In 1994 Chris worked on the legendary "WarCraft: Orcs & Humans", doing illustrations and documentation. He also wrote the 1995 sequel to WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness, and designed the StarCraft and Diablo II universe.

Throughout his career, Chris Metzen has also voiced many of the characters in Blizzard games. For example, the voice of the orc leader Thrall and Varian was presented to the heroes by Chris. In "Diablo" he voiced the Skeleton King, in "StarCraft" the paratroopers, and in the recently released "Overwatch", oddly enough, the robot Bastion. Chris Metzen was also one of the producers of the failed Warcraft movie.

As a reminder, Chris is not the first person to leave Blizzard in 2016. In July, Diablo 3 Game Director Josh Mosqueira also left the company in search of "other opportunities".
