In the second season of Matt and Ross Duffer's "Stranger Things", the cast was replenished. Sadie Sink ("The Americans") and Dacre Montgomery ("Power Rangers") have received regular roles in the science fiction television project, The Hollywood Reporter reports. It is also announced that Recurring Actors Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) have grown to become regular actors.

Sink will play Max, a confident girl whose looks and ways speak that her character is more masculine than feminine. She has a complex history and is usually suspicious of the people around her.

Montgomery is cast in the role of Billy, Max's self-assured and luxurious older brother. He takes girls away from boys, he likes to compete in who drinks who and drives a black Camaro. Behind his external charisma lies a wild and unpredictable nature.

Details regarding the second season of the drama, unfolding in the 80s, were not disclosed, but it was announced that three new characters would appear in the sequel at the beginning September 2016.

"Season 2 will feature some very interesting characters, but our old heroes will no doubt remain the main characters," Executive Producer Sean Levy said in a statement.
