Jason Statham will be sent to fight the prehistoric Megalodon
Jason Statham will co-star in the fantasy movie Meg, which is set to be movieed by Warner Bros. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project will be based on the eponymous bestseller by writer Steve Altens, released in 1997. In the center of the plot of the work is a hero named Jonas Taylor, who dives into one of the deepest depressions in the Pacific Ocean and encounters a prehistoric monster - Megalodon. Finding himself the only survivor of the entire expedition, Taylor tries to convince others and himself of the reality of what he saw at an incredible depth. He persuades his friend to take a new dive and is faced with a horror that he could not even imagine. The director of the movie is the creator of the adventure thriller "National Treasure" John Tarteltaub. Screenwriter James Vanderbilt will adapt the literary source. Terms of work on the project are not specified. Note that attempts to movie the bestseller have been made for two decades, but each time to no avail. In mid-2015, it was reported that Eli Roth agreed to direct the movie, but in the end he also refused this opportunity.
