The Bruce Lee Foundation will not allow the portrayal of an actor in Ip Man 3
The Bruce Lee Enterprises Foundation, controlled by the heirs of the famous actor and martial artist, opposed the use of his image in the movie "Ip Man 3". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. According to the representative of the foundation Chris Storti, the foundation owns all rights to the name, image, signature, voice, attributes, signs, logos, symbols, works, photographs < and the actor's literary works, "shocked" by Pegasus' decision to use a digital image of Lee without proper permission. In turn, the producers of "Ip Man 3" claim that Bruce Lee's brother Robert, who considers himself a legitimate representative of the interests of the actor's family, acts as a consultant for the project. The parties' lawyers are holding consultations, following which a joint statement will be made. Recall that the studio planned to recreate the image of young Bruce Lee, who really was a student of the legendary master Ip Man, using computer graphics, since the casting specialists could not find an actor who would not only look like Lee, but would have energy comparable to the original.
