Carnival Films ("Downton Abbey") and legendary comic book writer Stan Lee will team up to create the drama series "Lucky Man", starring James Nesbitt ("Missing", "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" ). The ten-part project, which will be broadcast by Sky1, will mark Lee's first experience on British television. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

The following actors have been approved for the main roles: Eve Best ("Sister Jackie"), Sienna Guillory ("Fortitude"), Amara Karan ("Doctor Who"), Darren Boyd (" Little Dorrit "), Omid Jalili (Moonfleet), Jing Lucy (Holby City) and Kenneth Tsang (Die But Not Now).

Nesbitt's character, London policeman Harry Clayton is going through a difficult period of his life. The wife (Best) and the child moved out due to his addiction to gambling; Harry's boss is sure that he is in league with the devil himself; Harry owes a huge sum to the notorious crime boss who now threatens him. A chance meeting with a mysterious woman who gives him an ancient bracelet changes everything in his life. The bracelet gives Harry control of his luck, but at what cost?

The original idea came from Lee, whose company POW! Entertainment will be involved in the production of the series. Richard Fell, Gareth Nime, Anne Mensah, Beverly Booker, Lee, Gill Champion and co-writer and writer Neil Biswas ("Prikup") will be executive producing. The premiere is scheduled for 2016.
