The Master Chief will be faceless in Halo 5

The Master Chief will not remove his helmet throughout Halo 5: Guardians. According to Gamespot, the creative director of the series, Tim Longo, spoke about this at Microsoft Canada's X15. Thus, the hopes of fans to finally see the face of a key character will not come true.

"I'm not even really sure if I can even discuss this at all. But, in any case, the Master Chief clearly will not remove the protection from his head," he said.

In 2012, during the presentation of the first trailer for "Halo 4," famed moviemaker David Fincher, who directed "Fight Club" and "The Social Network," gave fans a glimpse of the Master Chief's appearance as a kid. And people who played the game at the most difficult level expected a surprise from the developers in the form of a special video. In this video, there were flashes of light on some parts of John-177's face, giving only a distant idea of his appearance.

As a reminder, Halo 5: Guardians will be released on October 27, 2015 exclusively on XboxOne. Microsoft also recently made a statement stating that there will be no Great Team Skirmish mode for the first time after launching the game.
