Batman v Superman box office collapses in all key markets
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is experiencing a disastrous downturn in all key markets at the box office. According to Forbes, the highest values were recorded in Asia. So, in China, the reduction has reached 78 percent compared to the premiere weekend, and in South Korea - 70 percent. It is noteworthy that in both cases, the stumbling block for Zack Snyder's movie was the Walt Disney cartoon "Zootopia", which earned comparable amounts while at the box office three times longer. In Japan, Batman v Superman failed to rise above third place overall on its second weekend, even with no comparable competition. Fees in Singapore and Hong Kong fell 68 percent. In Europe, the movie is not doing well. So, in the UK on the second weekend, the fall was 69 percent, in Germany - 53 percent, and in Italy - 59 percent. In Mexico, the movie's box office fell by 56 percent and only in Brazil, where the number of copies was increased on the second weekend, the drop was not so significant - 39 percent. Such a dynamism does not allow the movie to count on high endurance in the world box office and calls into question the further development of the entire franchise based on the popular DC comics.
