The premiere of the movie "Avatar 2" has been postponed until the end of 2017. According to The Huffington Post, this statement was made by James Cameron, who is in New Zealand.

The director explained the next delay by the scale of the script work and the desire to provide the audience with a product of the highest possible quality. "We are writing all three scripts at the same time. All three sequels will be linked by the same storyline. In parallel, we are working on the design of all living things and the environment," he said. Cameron stressed that work on the script should be completed in early February 2015.

At the same time, it was revealed that the director's Lightstorm Entertainment has acquired all rights to image capture and processing technology developed by Atlanta-based Giant Studios, which was used during the movieing of Avatar and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Giant Studios development team will continue to improve the technology already at Cameron's company.

The director previously confirmed that all three sequels will be movieed simultaneously at 48fps and 4K resolution. The shooting complexes at Cameron's disposal have undergone a deep modernization, and now, according to the director, the very concept of "shooting" is not very suitable for describing the process of creating his movies.
