Angela Bassett Returns to American Horror Story
Golden Globe laureate Angela Bassett (What Love Can Do) remains part of the American Horror Story family. The news that Bassett is returning to the anthology was announced on Twitter by the series creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy, commenting: "Angela Bassett will give Lady Gaga a lot of trouble in the ballroom and beyond in October. Thus, the fifth season of American Horror Story: Hotel will be the third experience for the actress in the anthology after the Witches' Sabbath and The Freak Show. The announcement of the actress's return to the series was made after Murphy announced the news that series star Evan Peters will also remain on the show. On his Twitter page on April 24, 2015, Murphy tweeted, "Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64 this season." For the upcoming fifth season of American Horror Story, which will be set in a hotel , starring Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer. For the first time in the history of the show, Jessica Lange will not appear on the series. At the time of this writing, the Hotel includes Sarah Paulson, Cathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson in addition to the aforementioned actors.
