Lady Gaga to star in American Horror Story
Lady Gaga has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's hit anthology American Horror Story. The pop diva has been confirmed for a regular role in the fifth season of the FX series, American Horror Story: The Hotel. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Gaga is the first, whose participation in the fifth season of the series is officially confirmed. The singer's casting means Ryan Murphy has finally managed to persuade Gaga to star in his anthology. Prior to that, his targets were Jessica Lange and Katie Bates. Gaga has also become another pop star who will star in one of Murphy's TV projects. Earlier in the Fox musical, "The Losers," curated by Murphy, American Idol Season 8 finalist Adam Lambert appeared in a recurring role. For Gaga, her role in American Horror Story will be her largest and first regular in a screenplay to date. Prior to that, she has appeared on numerous non-screenplay shows such as So You Think You Can Dance, The X Factor, and American Idol. Meanwhile, the question of the female lead in the fifth season of the horror anthology remains open. The star of the series, Jessica Lange, has repeatedly stated that the fourth season – "The Freak Show" - will be her last; Sarah Paulson confirmed to star in the first season of the upcoming Murphy and Falchuk anthology for FX, American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson; Emma Roberts leads the first season of Murphy and Falchuk's comedy-horror anthology "Scream Queens" with Leah Michele; Taissa Farmiga, starring in "The Ghost House" and "The Witches' Sabbat," was recently confirmed as a co-star in ABC's anthology "LA Crime."
