Ben Affleck has once again clarified the status of a solo project dedicated to the most popular hero of DC comics - Batman. In a conversation with fans, which was organized by The New York Times, the actor said the following: "I believe that making movies should not be tied to a specific rental" window "or date. That's where we stand."

According to Affleck, work on the script for the movie will continue, and he needs more time to make a movie that can compete on an equal footing with previous adaptations of the Dark Knight comics.

Note that Affleck has repeatedly made similar statements in the past, claiming that he "does not want to rush" with his movie, without specifying when the lengthy process of creating the script will end.

Warner Bros. announced a solo Batman movie project back in the spring of 2015, announcing that Affleck would not only play the lead role, but also take the director's chair. According to one of the versions, viewers will be able to see the picture no earlier than autumn 2019.

Previously, the studio intended to release the second part of the Justice League during this period, but in early December 2016 it became known that the production of this movie was postponed indefinitely.
