Candidates for the post of director of the movie about Lara Croft have been announced
The producers of the movie adaptation of the popular Tomb Raider Lara Croft series have compiled a short list of applicants for the director's post. According to the Tracking Board, it includes Catherine Bigilow, Catherine Hardwicke and Mimi Leder. Catherine Bigilow has two well-known movies - the action adventure "On the Crest of the Wave" and the war drama "The Hurt Locker". The latter secured her an Academy Award. The most famous project of Catherine Hardwicke was "Twilight", based on the popular series of youth novels. As for Mimi Leder, she mainly specialized in creating television series. Among her works are "The West Wing" and "Shameless", and the most famous full-length movie was "Impact with the Abyss". The new adaptation of the Lara Croft series will be a collaboration between Warner Bros., MGM, GK Films and Eidos Interactive. The start of work on the painting was announced back in 2011, but since then no information has been received on this matter. At the time of this writing, the terms of work were also not specified, as well as the candidates for the main role were not named.
