Icelandic capital will name street after Darth Vader

The authorities of the Icelandic capital Reykjavik have decided to name one of the city's streets in honor of Darth Vader. This is reported by IcelandMag. The proposal was supported by citizens on the website Better Reykjav í k, which was created so that residents of the capital put forward their ideas for the improvement of the city and vote for priority programs.

The Mayor of Reykjavik announced on his official Twitter page that the street will be called Svarth & ouml; f & eth; i, which means "black head" in Icelandic. This is what Icelandic versions of Star Wars refer to as the Dark Lord of the Sith.

However, the mayor of the capital does not intend to stop there. He suggested aligning the numbering of houses on Darth Vader Street with the numbering of the Star Wars episodes. That is, the first building on the street will have number four, then the fifth, sixth, first, second, third, seventh, and so on. Most likely, residents of the capital will support this initiative of the authorities.

As a reminder, the seventh episode of "Star Wars" will be released in December 2015. He will launch a new trilogy, as well as a whole series of other projects, which take place in a distant galaxy. Whether Darth Vader will appear in any of these movies is not yet known.
