Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes has confirmed plans for his Warner Bros. studio. to shoot a solo movie dedicated to Batman, and named an approximate timetable for this project. According to the Comic Book, the official mentioned this in his speech at the 25th Annual Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference.

"Ben has announced a Batman movie that he's going to movie and write for him himself. I guess it'll be in about a year and a half or something. So our strategy generally works." - he said. Bewkes also said that he considers the new image of the Dark Knight to be successful and is confident that it will be key to the development of the MCU based on DC comics. "We're more optimistic now than we were when we planned to launch this franchise," he added.

As a reminder, the Batman solo movie was announced in the spring of 2015, then confirmed in the summer of 2016, but no specific timelines were announced.

Earlier, the head of Time Warner admitted mistakes that were made earlier in the creation of movies based on comics and promised that subsequent movie adaptations will be "not as dark as the first movies in this series.
