IMAX has announced the premiere of Supermen, which will be based on the popular Marvel comic book series. As reported on the official IMAX Twitter page, the pilot episode will be released on September 1, 2017.

Recall that the series will tell the story of the leader of the alien mutants Black Bolt and his clan. Initially, Marvel Studios planned to make a full-length movie, but then abandoned those plans, placing a bet on a television series, which will consist of eight episodes.

The main role will be played by Anson Mount, familiar to the audience from the TV series "Hell on Wheels", the series will also take part Iwan Rheon, who got the role of the younger brother of Black Bolt Maximus the Mad, and Ken Leung, who previously starred in the movie "X-Men: The Last battle". Roel Rain has been appointed to direct the pilot.

The release schedule of the part of the series that ABC is going to show was not specified at the time of this writing.

Inhumans first appeared in Marvel comics in 1965 in the Fantastic Four series. They turned out to be so popular that it was soon decided to separate them into a separate series, the first of which premiered in 1975.
