Warner Bros. Film Studio did not abandon its plans to shoot a new version of the movie based on the popular video game "Dungeon of Dragons". According to The Hollywood Reporter, the key role in the movie adaptation was offered to the actor Ansel Elgort, who became famous after the release of such movies as The Fault in the Stars and Divergent.

The director of "Dungeon" has been appointed Rob Letterman, creator of the animated movies "Monsters vs. Aliens" and "The Undersea Lads". Note that the adaptation became possible after several years of litigation over the rights to the popular franchise.

Recall also that the original game was presented in 1974, and the first attempt to make a movie based on it was made in 2000. The project, which involved such popular actors as Jeremy Irons, Tora Birch, Lee Arenberg, Marlon Wayans , Kristen Wilson, Tom Baker, Bruce Payne and others, did not attract the attention of moviegoers. It grossed just $ 33 million at the box office on a production budget of over $ 45 million.

The shooting and possible rental schedules of the new version at the time of this writing were not specified. As for Elgort, viewers will be able to see the actor in 2017 in the movie "Young Driver".
