David Morrissey got a role in the second season of Outside
British actor David Morrissey, best known for his role as Governor from The Walking Dead, has joined the second season of CBS's sci-fi drama Beyond. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the role will be repetitive. In the mystical thriller about the astronaut Molly Woods (Halle Berry), whose unintentional actions have endangered the existence of the human race, Morrissey will play the role of General Tobias Shepard, head of the Commission on world security. The character is said to be charming, versed in politics, and is known and respected for making difficult wartime decisions, even if they are morally ambiguous. Shepard and Molly have a personal history that complicates the situation in the face of a deadly threat to humanity. Morrissey joins Jeffrey Dean Morgan, previously confirmed for the regular role of J.D. Richter, the bounty hunter. Halle Berry, Pierce Ganon and Grace Gummer will return from the original cast for season two. Morrissey will also star on American television in an adaptation of the British miniseries The Driver, which has been acquired by Showtime.
