Amazon renews Bosch for a third season
Detective Harry Bosch returns. Amazon streaming has commissioned the production of the third season of the crime drama Bosch, based on the works of Michael Connelly. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Debuting on Amazon in February 2015, "Bosch" set a premiere record and was able to maintain high ratings, becoming the most watched series on the Amazon service - Prime Instant Video - during the first four weeks. The second season was made available for viewing on March 11, 2016. In "Bosch" the main roles are played by Titus Welliver, Jamie Hector, Amy Aquino, Madison Lintz and Lance Reddick. Eric Overmier, acting showrunner, adapted the Harry Bosch series, co-authored with Connelly, into a television format. Pieter Jean Bruges, Henrik Bastin, Overmere and Connelly share the executive producing roles. Bosch is the first original streaming service drama that pioneered the promotion of Amazon Studios' own television content to its subscribers. Amazon's original series includes two half-hour comedies - Obvious and Mozart in the Jungle, both winners of prestigious awards including Golden Globe and Emmy in various categories.
