Will Smith and Joel Edgerton star in a movie about orcs and fairies
Will Smith and Joel Edgerton will star in the thriller "Bright" directed by David Ayer, according to The Wrap. Very little is known about the plot of the movie yet, it is stated only that the action will take place in an alternative reality in which people peacefully get along with fantastic creatures like fairies, and the main character is an orc who is a police officer. The project will be based on a screenplay prepared by Max Landis, who has worked on movies such as The Chronicle and Victor Frankenstein. Most likely, the Warner Bros. studio will take part in financing the picture, since the director collaborated with it earlier. It is also argued that the project will be able to claim tax breaks from the California state government. The relevant documents were previously submitted to the California Film Commission. The shooting schedule and a possible premiere date at the time of this writing have not been specified. It is noteworthy that Ayer planned to start movieing the picture in the fall of 2016, but Warner Bros. committed him and Will Smith to the production of the sequel to Suicide Squad, based on the comic book series.
