The new movie adaptation of Stephen King's "It" has acquired its own Pennywise. According to Variety, the role of universal evil in the guise of a clown will be played by actor Will Poulter, familiar to the audience from the movies "The Maze Runner" and "We are the Millers.

The work, published in 1986, takes place in two time periods - the 50s and 80s of the 20th century. A group of residents of a small town in Maine, united in the so-called Losers Club, will have to remember how they managed to defeat a monster that kills children as children, as it returned and began its hunt again.

The director and screenwriter of the new version will be Carey Fukunaga, author of the critically acclaimed and highly acclaimed television series True Detective. The terms of work on the project and its possible rental schedule have not yet been specified.
