Shark Tornado Star Fights Zombie Tsunami (Topic)

Shark Tornado star Ian Ziering is ready to face a new threat from the sea. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ziering will produce and star in the TV movie "Zombie Tidal Wave". Syfy has high hopes for an upcoming movie that could kick-start a new genre franchise. The movie, which will be produced by several members of the Shark Tornado creative team, will debut August 17 as part of Syfy's Original Film Weekend.

Ziering will play veteran sailor Hunter Shaw, who unites locals against the hordes zombies, which were washed ashore by the tsunami on their island.

Anthony Ferrante, who has directed all six movies of the Shark Tornado franchise, will take the director's chair. Ferrante is also responsible for writing the screenplay, which is based on a story by Ziering and Thunder Levine.

Ziering, at the time of writing, can be seen on the TV series Swamp Thing, which DC Universe's digital service shut down six days after its premiere. 7 August this year will premiere the comedy-drama series "Beverly Hills 90210" ("BH90210"), which is the reboot of the eponymous youth series that was released in the 1990s and launched Ziering's career. In the new series, the actor plays one of the main roles and is the executive producer.
