Warner Bros. and Sony will not advertise movies during the Super Bowl

Warner Bros. Film Studios and Sony Pictures will be phasing out commercials for their movie projects during the American Football Super Bowl finals, traditionally held in early February each year. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

This decision was made due to the studio's unwillingness to pay for the significantly increased advertising time. In 2020, a 30 second commercial will cost $ 5.6 million. Thus, viewers do not see trailers for such anticipated movies as Wonder Woman 2: 1984, Ghostbusters 3: Heirs, and so on during this time period.

At the same time, Walt DIsney, Paramount and Universal are not going to opt out of advertising during the finale. Quite possibly, Disney will showcase new trailers for the Mulan and Black Widow movies and Pixar cartoons. Paramount is expecting thriller commercials "A Quiet Place 2", "Sonic in the Movie" and possibly "Top Gun: Maverick". Universal can delight viewers with ads for the cartoon "Minions: Gruvitation", and also show videos of the action movie "Fast and Furious 9."

The 2020 Super Bowl Final will take place on Sunday, February 2. Statistically speaking, this is the most popular program in the history of television. Its audience exceeds 100 million viewers.
