Mahershala Ali will play Blade in the Marvel movies
The Marvel Film Studio will return to the screens of the popular anti-hero Blade. This announcement was made at the Comic-con 2019 festival by the head of the company, Kevin Feige. He also announced that the main role in the new movie adaptation will be played by two-time Academy Award winner Mahershal Ali. The actor himself took part in the presentation of the project, appearing in front of the public in a baseball cap with Blade's logo. The exact schedule of work on the project was not named. Recall that earlier in the movies about this character, Wesley Snipes starred. The first movie "Blade" was presented to the audience in 1998, the last - in 2004. The Marvel studio had nothing to do with these movie adaptation, since then it did not yet dispose of the rights to the character. The worldwide box office receipts for these paintings were not particularly impressive, but Blade's fans were generally happy with this reading of the hero's story. It is worth noting that "Blade" and its sequels were released in North America with an R rating. Snipes himself has repeatedly emphasized that he is ready to continue playing the vampire hunter, if the will of the audience and the leadership of Marvel.
