The Walt Disney Company announced that it has signed a revised acquisition agreement with 21st Century Fox for $ 71.3 billion ($ 38 per share in cash and shares). This is reported by the Coming Soon, citing company representatives.

Disney is expected to pay a total of about $ 35.7 billion in cash and issue about 343 million new shares to shareholders of 21st Century Fox. The new owner will also take on about $ 13.8 billion of 21st Century Fox's net debt.

For moviegoers, this means plans to integrate characters like the Fantastic Four and the X-Men (including Deadpool ), Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe remains unchanged, as does the full acquisition of the rights to the original Star Wars.
