Major networks will not feature Netflix 2020 Oscar nominees
Oscar 2020 nominations have not softened the streaming opposition between Netflix and major movie theater chains. According to the LA Times, AMC and Regal refused to show movies such as "The Irishman", "The Marriage Story" and others in their halls. The movie academies received additional halls and screenings, which allowed them to significantly increase their box office receipts. Note that the confrontation between Netflix and distributors has been going on for several years.
