In Los Angeles, as a result of street riots, in which "opponents of the police brutality" took part, the cinema, owned by the famous Hollywood screenwriter and director Quentin Tarantino, was damaged. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The director of the institution, Jules McLean, posted on his official Twitter page several photos showing the aftermath of the attack. Vandals painted the walls and shop windows with phases of offensive content, mostly directed at law enforcement officers.

Admirers of Tarantino's work have already volunteered to help restore the cinema. Some of them helped with cleaning the premises, others wiped off the inscriptions and installed shields designed to prevent protesters from spoiling the director's property.

The protests began after the death of a black resident of Minneapolis, George Floyd, who received incompatible injuries during police detention. Very quickly, street riots broke out in other cities and states, including Washington, where Secret Service officers even had to hide the president in a special bunker. Curfews have been imposed in many major cities and additional National Guard forces have been deployed.
