Mulan started better than Argument
Walt DIsney's "Mulan", shown in North America via Disney + streaming service, kicked off better than the fictional action movie "Argument." As shown by the statistics of the publication Screen Rant, for the first weekend the movie earned 33.5 million dollars. For comparison, "Argument", released in cinemas, could not raise more than 20 million dollars. Note that it was possible to estimate the earnings of Mulan, since the movie was not included in the standard subscription, but was available for viewing at an additional cost. At the same time, in the case of the Disney project, we are talking about net profit, since the studio will not have to share this amount with cinemas and invest additional funds in advertising materials. Moreover, thanks to the release of Mulan the number of downloads of the Disney + application grew by 68 percent at once. Note that the ratings of the two movies in the Rotten Tomatoes system were almost identical - 74 percent for "Argument" and 75 percent for "Mulan".
