The famous Hollywood director Joe Johnston intends to retire, but this will happen only after he completes the movie adaptation of the work "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Throne". According to Slash Film, the director made such an announcement during a meeting with fans at the Comic-con festival in Paris.

According to Johnston, preparations for movieing will begin in the summer of 2018, and the movieing process itself starts in winter. The exact date of the premiere has not yet been specified, but, most likely, viewers will see the next movie adaptation of C. S. Lewis's book in the second half of 2019.

The director described his project as a "soft restart", specifying that the movie " The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Throne "will be significantly different from previous movie adaptations. Will any of the actors return who starred in the first three movies is still unknown. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader was released in 2010 and grossed just over $ 400 million.
