China will ease restrictions on Mulan and Argument's exit

The Chinese authorities are ready to soften a number of restrictions imposed on cinemas for the release of two potential blockbusters - the adventure movie Mulan and the fantastic action movie Argument. This is evidenced by the data of the Variety edition.

Cinemas in some regions of the country will be allowed to sell up to 50 percent of tickets for each show and play movies longer than two hours without restrictions, starting August 14. It will also be allowed to sell snacks, albeit only to go.

Chinese cinemas reopened for the first time in six months on July 20. Supervisors initially required that they limit ticket sales to just 30 percent of their capacity to ensure social distancing. They also banned the sale and consumption of snacks and beverages, and required sessions not to last more than two hours.

Now the timing problem so sensitive for modern Hollywood movies will be resolved, which means that many classic movies of the past, including movie adaptations of the Harry Potter books and many others.
